Thor: God of Design

Hey Chris

I wrote this stream of consciousness – and didn’t really spillcheck.

I have finished my animated short and this is your formal invite to watch it. You’ll need 25 minutes to see the entire thing (if you want, you surely don’t have to and it’s a-ok to scrub the vid).

I think about our friendship, how you offered me a job that I learned so much from (and how bad I hate graphic deisgn, ha!). I think you are one of the most emotionally intelligent and kindest man I’ve ever met (as you know, most bros are knuckle draggers and just want to talk about the big spornts games and trucks).

This short was for me however there was a lot of type setting and even though you’ll catch my kerning errors (there’s a lot, I used Capcut to make this and it’s limited with formatting text), I tried to use all graphic design skills I learned from you back a zillion years ago.

Can’t wait to do some concerts and hang in Atlanta with you (or H-Vegas if you go to shows). You guys certainly have a free stay in B’ham, we’ll be back in April.

Here’s my project, you have little mention at the very end where the bear is singing.

The Two Rules I had for myself

1. could never lean into seeking external validation, all of it had to be what I found had meaning to me.
2. I picked around twenty people to share this with, personally and you are one of them. You never have to watch, share or reply. I love it and watch all my videos over and over…this has been very healing to me.

This is a reflection of my how my brain interprets the world around it and how I see things.

oh and pay no attention to the likes thing below, it’s some code I put in to be funny and now I don’t know how to get rid of it, nor do I care… lolz.
