Thigville

Art, satire and friendly narcissism

Stay Mysterious 🙂

Hey Mrs. Overlay

(I love how that rhymes)

I wrote this stream of consciousness – and didn’t really spillcheck.

I have finished my animated short and this is your formal invite to watch it. You’ll need 25 minutes to see the entire thing (if you want, you surely don’t have to and it’s a-ok to scrub the vid).

I am only sending this out to 20 people for personal reasons, you are one them. Maria, you are such a mysterious person to me and I like it like that. The few times I go to social media, I’ll see your posts and I always feel there is so much story there whether it’s you, your bright blue nails or your work (held with your bright blue nails) that has always had an air of mystery to me. And the words you’ve said about how you view being an artist to me has really made an impact in my noggin. Thank you.

At the end of the project, the credits (of which I worked the longest and hardest on) has a nice personal message to you in it. Thank you for enjoying my work, I equally enjoy yours. As the idealistic kid that signed your annual in high school “never change, always be cool” 😀

Art Project: “Surfing the Apocalypse”

The Two Rules I had for myself

  1. could never lean into seeking external validation, all of it had to be what I found had meaning to me.
  2. I picked around twenty people to share this with, personally and you are one of them. You never have to watch, share or reply. I love it and watch all my videos over and over…this has been very healing to me.

This is a reflection of my how my brain interprets the world around it and how I see things.

There is a very special thank you personally, for you at the end where the blue bear starts singing.

oh and pay no attention to the likes thing below, it’s some code I put in to be funny and now I don’t know how to get rid of it, nor do I care… lolz.
