Thigville

Art, satire and friendly narcissism

Les Canard, Vero

Bonjour my Beligium buddy in Bham!

I have finished my animated short and this is your formal invite to watch it. You’ll need 25 minutes to see the entire thing.

This project was very healing for me and was extremely helpful with some mental clarity. To allow myself to take a look of how my brain interprets thing without assigning emotions to it was almost otherworldly.

I finished this project because of you, you were my north star for this, Vero. I never let myself have doubt, criticism or worry… I just did and I loved every moment of doing something for me (and it helped me fall in love with me, but like in a healthy way… not in a constant self-doubting way which is a huge struggle to me).

In the animated short, I paid particular attention to make sure it was obvious that the channel was being changed. Other than that, I realize I do not like lowering my art to the lowest common denominator so people will get it, I think I like being the B in the word Subtle rather than holding someone’s hand. So there’s a lot of subtly in this.

I cannot wait to physically hang out more when we move (which is in a matter of weeks now). I would love to have times where we meet up, and draw in silence and enjoying the connection of being with a friend who is an artist.

This video is pg13, no boobies but a few f-bombs and boyish humor… ok a lot of boyish humor.

Art Project: “Surfing the Apocalypse”

The Two Rules I had for myself

  1. could never lean into seeking external validation, all of it had to be what I found had meaning to me.
  2. I picked around twenty people to share this with, personally and you are one of them. You never have to watch, share or reply. I love it and watch all my videos over and over…this has been very healing to me.

This is a reflection of my how my brain interprets the world around it and how I see things.

There is a very special thank you personally, for you at the end where the blue bear starts singing.

oh and pay no attention to the likes thing below, it’s some code I put in to be funny and now I don’t know how to get rid of it, nor do I care… lolz.
