Hi Giada! I am done with my short! WOOP
I wrote this stream of consciousness – and didn’t really spillcheck. 😉
I have finished my animated short and this is your formal invite to watch it. You’ll need 25 minutes to see the entire thing (if you want, you surely don’t have to and it’s a-ok to scrub the vid).
This project was very healing for me and was extremely helpful with some mental clarity. To allow myself to take a look of how my brain interprets thing without assigning emotions to it was almost otherworldly and for once, I felt like a real artist because I did this from the heart, not from a place of wanting affirmation from others.
Our friendship has flourished from a meeting, virtually, many years ago now and I am so thankful for that.
I love your tenacity and grit, Giada. It will serve you well and as someone with equal tenacity and grit, make sure to keep them fresh by feeding them what they need (rest and relaxation at times).
I also want you to know that when you need to dump a much needed lump of emotions so you can breathe? I will be more than happy to lend an ear…no matter what the topic. I’m your friend and that’s what friends do, they care and hear each other. I care about you.
Art Project: “Surfing the Apocalypse”
The Two Rules I had for myself
- could never lean into seeking external validation, all of it had to be what I found had meaning to me.
- I picked around twenty people to share this with, personally and you are one of them. You never have to watch, share or reply. I love it and watch all my videos over and over…this has been very healing to me.
This is a reflection of my how my brain interprets the world around it and how I see things.
There is a very special thank you personally, for you at the end where the blue bear starts singing.
oh and pay no attention to the likes thing below, it’s some code I put in to be funny and now I don’t know how to get rid of it, nor do I care… lolz.
