Art, satire and friendly narcissism

BAM! – Still my fav Neva thing

Hey Neva

I wrote this stream of consciousness – and didn’t really spillcheck.

Birmingham in 2.5 weeks! Woop! Can’t wait to hang with my friend.

I made an animated short on how my brain sees the world, currently. I also strangely made it about hope and am only sending this out to my community, which is about 20 people and you’re one of them.

A while back I sent you my little animated videos and you responded, and I felt seen…like really seen. So, thank you for that.

At the end of the animation there is a little blue bear singing the credits, he sings for you too. (And he makes a joke about all you guys’ cats regarding the P word… crass, I know… but I’m praying the joke lands and is funny. )

I’m sharing all this with you (and a select few others) beacuse you have always made me feel seen. Like I always feel like you see me with my art, who I am and the silly guy I am.

Thank you, and I love you (but like in a manly way). I cannot wait to fun times in B’ham with you and I can’t wait to meet your fancy hubby too!!!

Art Project: “Surfing the Apocalypse”

The Two Rules I had for myself

  1. could never lean into seeking external validation, all of it had to be what I found had meaning to me.
  2. I picked around twenty people to share this with, personally and you are one of them. You never have to watch, share or reply. I love it and watch all my videos over and over…this has been very healing to me.

This is a reflection of my how my brain interprets the world around it and how I see things.

There is a very special thank you personally, for you at the end where the blue bear starts singing.

oh and pay no attention to the likes thing below, it’s some code I put in to be funny and now I don’t know how to get rid of it, nor do I care… lolz.
